TENET CIO Forum

The CIO Forum will serve as an addition to TENET’s governance structure and will be composed of CIOs and senior IT executives from public universities and research and education related entities that currently qualify to receive TENET’s services.

Programme Overview

Cybersecurity has been identified as one of the highest shared risks facing the higher education and research sector, with TENET’s Board reaffirming its commitment to developing shared platforms and prioritising this work in 2026. 

Establishing a sector-wide CSIRT cannot be done in isolation. SANReN and TENET are already delivering critical elements of cybersecurity capability and will remain integral to any sustainable solution. 

This session of the CIO Forum is intended to create a space for collective discussion within the Higher Education community. It will provide an opportunity for CIOs to contribute to a practical and collaborative approach to a shared CSIRT that reflects real operational needs and shared accountability across the sector.
