About this event
AFRINIC, the Regional Internet Registry for Africa, runs an annual call for local hosts, partnering with organisations across Africa to deliver in-person technical training and certification events. Over the past 20 years, more than 40 organisations across the continent have partnered with AFRINIC through this program to build technical skills and advance internet infrastructure development.
In 2026, TENET is proud to host AFRINIC's IPv6 Managers Training in Cape Town, alongside AFRINIC & HEITSA.
TENET is committed to strengthening the technical capacity of the universities and research institutions we serve, and to prepare their network engineers to design, deploy, and manage the next generation of IPv6-enabled infrastructure.
Who should attend
This event is designed for CIO's, Network Managers and Senior Leadership. Participants must be able to commit to all three full days.
This is a rare opportunity for the senior leadership of South African universities and research institutions to gain world-class IPv6 implementation skills.
What you will learn
The IPv6 for Managers module aims to close the knowledge gap, advise university/research executives on evaluating IPv6 strategically, and support their technical teams in deploying IPv6.
