DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nAFRINIC\, the Regional Internet Registry for
  Africa\, runs an annual call for local hosts\, partnering with organisati
 ons across Africa to deliver in-person technical training and certificatio
 n events. Over the past 20 years\, more than 40 organisations across the c
 ontinent have partnered with AFRINIC through this program to build technic
 al skills and advance Internet infrastructure development.\nIn 2026\, TENE
 T is proud to host AFRINIC's IPv6 training in Cape Town\, in collaboration
  with HEITSA\, bringing this internationally recognised certification prog
 ramme to South Africa's research and education community.\nTENET is commit
 ted to strengthening the technical capacity of the universities and resear
 ch institutions we serve\, and to prepare their network engineers to desig
 n\, deploy\, and manage the next generation of IPv6-enabled infrastructure
 .\nWhat You Will Learn\n\nIPv6 fundamentals: why IPv6\, how it differs fro
 m IPv4\, and the global transition context\nIPv6 addressing and subnetting
 \nIPv6 routing and protocols\nPlanning and deploying IPv6 in an operationa
 l network\nDual-stack implementation and IPv6 transition mechanisms\nIPv6 
 security considerations\nHands-on lab exercises leading to certification\n
 \nWho Should Attend\nThis event is designed for network engineers and ICT 
 professionals with a working knowledge of networking and IPv4. Participant
 s must be able to commit to all four full days and complete the certificat
 ion exam.\nThe certification exam fee will be sponsored\, the first time i
 t is taken\; however\, travel and accommodation costs are the delegate's r
 esponsibility.\nThis is a rare opportunity for South African technical pro
